BORDEAUX (France) - BORDEAUX wine supremos have ordered a cut in the amount of cheap plonk put on the market and the amount of land used for growing but are aiming to increase production. Bordeaux's wine trade council, the CIVB, decided this week to increase overall production by 12 per cent while reducing the current 1.1 million hectolitre production of so-called 'Basic Bordeaux'.
